Protect Yourself from Holiday Scams!
The holidays are a busy time—and scammers are taking advantage. From fake texts to phishing emails, here’s what you need to know to protect yourself this season.

Remember: FirstLight will NEVER ask for your personal account information over the phone, by email, or via text.

Top Holiday Scams to Watch Out For:

1. Fake Caller ID and Texts
Scammers can fake caller IDs and send anonymous texts pretending to be from retailers, credit unions, or even friends and family.

What to do: If you receive a suspicious call or text, hang up and contact us directly at 800.351.1670.

2. Fake Package Delivery Notifications
Scammers send fake texts or emails claiming there’s a problem with a delivery. These often include a link to a phishing site designed to steal your personal information.

What to do: Instead of clicking links, visit the retailer’s website directly to check for updates.

3. "Too Good to Be True" Flash Sales
Beware of social media ads offering unbelievable deals. These often lead to fake sites that steal your payment information or sell counterfeit goods.

What to do: Research the brand’s website and read reviews before making a purchase.

If you suspect a scam, contact FirstLight immediately at 800.351.1670.
