Shredding Day!
March 3, 2018 Shredding Day!

We are happy to provide Shredding Day to our membership, one location in El Paso and one in Las Cruces. This is an opportunity for our members to go through their paperwork and visit our specified location to shred their documentation safely. Here at FirstLight we feel it is important to educate our membership and the community on the risk of identity theft and the possible threat of it's consequences.

Facts about shredded paper:

Shredded documents are recycled and white washed into material such as paper towels, napkins, and paper bags for fast food eateries.

Recycling 2,000 lbs of paper saves 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 700 gallons of water.  This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution!
