El Paso Middle School and High School students are given fictitious money at the beginning of the school semester and are asked to invest in a mock version of the Stock Market using factual data from the Stock Market as it fluctuates with our real-time economy. At the end of each semester, an award is given to the student that made their investments the most profitable. FirstLight Federal Credit Union is a proud sponsor of this initiative, as it teaches our youth the importance of investing. There is a banquet held for the top three teams that win.
