DFPS-Adult Protective Services is the state agency tasked with investigating abuse, neglect and exploitation of persons who are elderly (age 65 and older) or adults with disabilities (18 and over).  The APS Silver Star Board supports our mission by hosting the conference and maintaining the APS Silver Star Resource Room that stocks fans, blankets, adult diapers, assistive equipment, personal hygiene items and other items benefitting our vulnerable clients.  They also serve as fiscal agent for the Extreme Weather Task Force supporting the fan drive in summer months and blanket drive in the winter to protect our vulnerable population in El Paso County.
